Muziek is een belangrijke uitlaatklep voor veel mensen.De corona pandemie heeft een grote impact op deze branche.

Artiesten mogen niet meer live optreden, concerten worden uitgesteld en muzikanten kunnen niet meer samen oefenen. Artiesten zoeken naar oplossingen om toch hun publiek live te kunnen bereiken.

Als ontwerper zocht ik naar een oplossing.

De zuil dient als een digitale manifestatie in fysieke ruimte. Doormiddel van projection-mapping heeft het podium meer lagen en reageert het mee op beeld en geluid. Publiek loopt langs en kan doormiddel van een live-stream toch de artiesten ervaren en leren kennen.

Met de installatie: Show_must_go_on, wil ik deze groep mensen letterlijk en figuurlijk

een podium bieden. Mijn project focust zich op het ervaren van een muzikale performance. Maar ik wil ook de aandacht trekken naar deze groep die in de pandemie niet zo veel van zichzelf liet horen, maar er toch erg veel voor heeft moeten opgeven.

Artists are no longer allowed to perform live, concerts are postponed and musicians can no longer practice together. Artists are looking for solutions to still be able to reach their audience live.

As a designer, I was looking for a solution.

The monolith serves as a digital manifestation in physical space. By means of projection mapping. The stage has more layers and it responds to image and sound. The audience walks past and can experience and get to know the artists through a live stream.

with the installation: show_must_go_on, I want to offer this group of people a stage, both literally and figuratively.

focuses on the experience of a musical performance. But I also want to draw attention to this group that did not let themselves be heard so much during the pandemic, but still had to give up a lot for it.
